Flash Fiction Friday #5 ~ On the Job

It’s another fabulous Friday and I’m anxious to flash you like I do every Friday. 😉 C’mon, you know you like it.

I’ve written a flash fiction from the image below, which was chosen by one of my FFF comrades. Exactly 100 words, no more, no less.

Flash Fiction Friday #5 ~ On the Job

“Champagne?”

Kneeled on the floor, she looked up at him. “Oh yes, please.”

Glancing around, he lowered before her and handed her the flute of sparkling sweetness. “Where are your bridesmaids?”

“Not here.” Smiling impishly, she took a sip. “Care to make the best of this time alone, gorgeous?”

He chuckled. “I wish I could, but sadly…” He pressed a pistol to her bosom and whispered, “I’m on the job.”

Pop!

Standing, he gazed down at the fallen bride and sighed. Why the client wanted such a beautiful woman dead was a mystery. Oh well, on to the next target.

  1. Yep, sometimes a man is just got to do what a man’s got to do. Damn, I thought for a long lingering moment there, he was going to give her a chance to change his mind – in a carnal sort of way. Now that would have been hot, the bride-to-be getting some nookie on the side on her wedding day, but the pop between her boobs was an even bigger surprise. No doubt for her too. Very slick Ms. Yvonne, I love your creativity.

    1. LOL! Don’t worry Benji, I’ll feed your carnal desires in another one. I have to give into the wickedness my muse whispers in my ear every now and then. This keeps her happy. Sometimes she likes it sexy and sometimes she likes to kill. I’m simply her word slave. 😉

  2. What a completely unexpected twist. Although, she didn’t seem like the most upstanding person given she was wanting ‘make the most of it’ with someone who wasn’t her husband to be. Wonder who wanted her dead. Hm.

    1. Thanks Se! *giggle* I’m glad you didn’t see it coming. I like to give you the unexpected every now and then. And I love the fact that you’re still laughing. That means you’re just as twisted as I am. 😉 Hugs.

  3. *eyes bug out* I had to reread this twice to make sure I wasn’t completely losing it! This was an unexpected treat! Horrible yet terrific! Thanks Yvonne! 😀
