Flash Fiction Friday #12 ~ Buzz Kill
Startled by a piercing shriek, Linda shot out of the bathroom. “What happened?”
On top of her table, buck naked, Darrel screamed, “A big ass rat just ran across my foot!”
“What?”
“A rat!”
“You’re crazy. There’s no rat in here.”
“I know what I saw!”
Whimpering, Trixie darted from under the bed. Linda kneeled down and scooped her up.
Darrel scrambled closer to the wall. “Aaagghhh, get it outta here!”
Linda stared wide-eyed at him. “She’s not a rat, you moron. She’s a Chihuahua.”
“Ohh, my mistake.”
Totally out of the mood, she tossed him his pants. “Goodbye Darrel.”
