HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ah yes, another year. I am both grateful and excited to have made it this far. Many did not make it and I can only pray that their souls are in peace.

I woke up this afternoon with a tad bit of a hang over, but refreshed and ready for 2013. My night was filled with good eats, sake and champagne. My favorite was the crab claw cocktail—crab claws dipped in lemon-butter sauce.

Mmm…yes, it was just as delicious as it sounds and looks.

While I was on my way to intoxication, I reflected on this past year and the people I’ve met. I am blessed in so many ways, and the Almighty continues to bless me more each year.

Sometimes people come into your life for a season. I call these people fair-weather friends. I’ve had only a couple of them this year. And even though we’ve drifted apart, I wish them all the best and success in 2013.

That aside, I have a whole slew of friends who have come into my life and who have been a part of it from the beginning. They have shown me so much support and love I can do nothing but love them in return. I appreciate their friendship. And I make it point to tell them every chance I get. Because tomorrow is not promised to any of us, we all should open our hearts and let the ones who we love know that we love them.

So with that said, I wish you all a HAPPY 2013!!!

Forget the New Year’s resolution and remember to live life to the fullest.
