Sex, Drugs, Rock n’ Roll… and Murder
Toshiro Matsuda, a tenacious Japanese inspector, is on the hunt for a serial killer who has left a trail of bodies across the globe. The latest victim was slashed backstage during a Scorpion Tail concert in a small town in Georgia.
The indie band’s wild, rebellious sound and dark lyrics catches Toshiro’s attention. He delves into the band members’ sordid pasts, and discovers that they are linked to the most recent victim.
MonaLisa–aka Queen Sting–the lead singer, hatches a plan to distract the inspector in order to protect her band brothers. In a turn of events, she becomes attracted to him. She wants to give in, but if she acts on her desire, Toshiro may uncover the secrets she keeps, and that will put her band at risk.
Toshiro was never one to fall for seduction, but there is something about the sassy rock star that intrigues him. However, he is not the only one who is fixated on her.
Will Toshiro be able to catch the killer, before MonaLisa is added to the kill list?

Smoke and Strawberries
“What do you have over these cops? Have you given favors to them all? Even the chief? Is that why you carry on like you own the place?”
MonaLisa swirled around and cocked her head to the side. “Hold up. Did you just call me a whore?”
Toshiro shrugged. “If the shoe fits…”
The smile she offered was full of malice. “Ooo, what a trashy prince you are. You’re just begging for my attention, aren’t you? Well you got it. Consider yourself on my radar.”
On her radar? Is that a threat? In a flash, he was in her face. With his hand braced against the wall behind her and the other wrapped around her arm, he pinned her to the building. Despite the position he had her in, she continued to puff away on her cancer stick, which in turn, infuriated him further.
Toshiro snatched the cigarette from between her lips, threw it on the ground and stomped on it. Noses inches apart, he breathed in her aroma. She smelled of smoke and strawberries. The combination disturbed him, more so because it also aroused him. She confused his senses, made him feel things he wasn’t quite sure of. This close, he could see the specks of gold lining her chocolate brown irises. They shimmered like stars. Aside from her face, it was one of the prettiest things he’d ever seen.
What are you doing, Toshiro?
He swallowed the lump easing up his throat. “After I catch my perp, I’m going to make it my business to bring you and your band of thugs down.”
“Is that right?” Her eyelids fluttered, her breathing wavered. “A’ight then.” She flicked her tongue out and swept it over his lips. “Game on, Mah-soo-dah.”
He scrambled back, nearly falling over the hood of a police cruiser. A heatwave rushed over him and settled in his groin. Wiping at his mouth with the back of his hand, he glared at her. His lips quivered, his cock throbbed.
She released a deep, sultry laugh. “Ohh, you’re just too easy. Gotta toughen up if you’re gonna pick fights with me. Catch ya’ later.” Her swaying rear end taunted him as she headed for the shiny royal blue and white antique vehicle.
If he wasn’t mistaken, it was a Plymouth Fury. Couldn’t give her credit for lady-like behavior, but at least she had good taste in cars.
She spun around on a playful twirl and dared to light another cigarette. “Just remember, Inspector Mah-soo-dah…” She took a draw from the end and winked at him. “When you bust, I’ll bust harder.”
His chest drew so tight he could hardly breathe. What was pure rage manifested into something explosive, something he couldn’t control. “That is it!” As his feet carried him forward, his mind went blank.
