Hips swaying, she sashayed across the stage with her electric guitar, Venom, in tow. Her swarthy skin shimmered like dark diamonds under the spotlights. Strawberry blonde dreadlocks cascaded over her shoulders and down her back. She swept a gaze over the eager crowd. The lights caught the spark in her haunting eyes, adding to her seductive allure.

A jeweled choker adorned her long neck. Fashioned from leather and lace, a crimson corset hugged her torso, and a short plaid skirt flared out over her bodacious hips. Completing her stage ensemble, skin-tight leather clung to her legs, and a pair of red, wedge-heeled sneakers sparkled on her feet.

This woman was a rock goddess haloed in lights. Wielding her mighty guitar, she ruled the stage and everyone beyond it.

Our mistress, Queen Sting.

Stirring with great anticipation, the crowd waited. Not one person shifted their attention from the stage.

A wicked smirk graced her face. Positioned at the microphone, she whirled Venom in front of her and teased the strings with her long, scarlet painted nails. Her glossy lips parted and her tongue slid out, revealing a sparkling guitar pick. She plucked it off her tongue and cooed in a husky timbre, “‘S’up, sexy bitches.”

A voluminous roar bounced off the club’s walls as the sea of people went into frenzy.

“Allow me to introduce my band of badasses!” With one hand wrapped around Venom’s neck, she ripped the pick across the taut strings. The electric guitar released a rebellious cry. It soared through the large speakers like a thunderous strike. “On bass is my Californian playboy… Chase.”

The bright eyed, floppy-haired kid to her left strummed the golden beauty hanging from his neck, drawing screams from the women in the audience.

“On keys, the sexiest man you’re ever gonna lay eyes on… Becca.”

With his lengthy hair draped over the sides of his face, the guy to her right flashed an enticing smile as he fingered the keys on his instrument. The crazed screams only grew louder.

“And on drums, my brotha from another motha… Slice! Hit it, baby!”

Surrounded by a shiny percussion set, the muscular man in the fedora whipped his stick from one drum to the other, delivering a brutal beating. A wild cadence resonated through the building.

“I’m MonaLisa and we are Scorpion Tail!” The band thundered into a hard-edged rhythm with their mistress leading the way. “Say your prayers, ‘cause we’re about to rock you ‘til death!” Her raspy voice surged into song, “It courses through your veins, my sweet, poisonous kiss… Take me again like that, fill me with your painful bliss… Let me thank you for your pretty lies and smiling deceit… I’ll remember you, only for the days of pain and nights of grief…”

Even though the lyrics she delivered were ominous in their nature, her voice was hypnotic. Spellbinding.

Struck in complete awe, Toshiro watched her strum her magnificent guitar, with her dreads swaying wildly about under the flashing lights.

Her gaze locked on him, a sultry smile followed. “Tell me you wanna die, baby, just for a taste… Give me your soul as you fall in my embrace…”

Can she see me through the blinding lights and sea of jerking bodies? The idea she could separate him from the mob was a fool’s fantasy, but the possibility sent an unrelenting shudder down his body. Even though the building was packed from wall to wall with people caught under her spell, he felt like he was the only one in the club.

She’s singing and playing just for me.

His bones vibrated with the heart-thumping pulse, his blood ran hot. The taste of her lips lingered in his memory. The thought of her poisonous kiss tightened his groin. He couldn’t rip his eyes away, no matter how hard he tried. From that moment on, he couldn’t deny it. He was enthralled, bound to her in body and spirit, and he would never be able to live without her.

MonaLisa…

SEDUCING AN ASSASSIN, NOW AVAILABLE AT GOOGLE PLAY

After attaching my bipod, I slipped on my black leather gloves then took my post.

One-thirty p.m. Like clockwork, Deverati’s snowy Bugatti whipped around the corner and parallel parked across the street from Café Josephine.

“Alright Half-a-mil, let’s do this.” I watched the car through my scope, anxious for the moment my mark revealed himself.

The butterfly door on the driver side swung open, he stepped out and the world shifted into slow motion.

“Daaayum,” I breathed out.

The Italian leather shoes, tailored black slacks and tan trench coat fit him to perfection. A gust of wind breezed by and flared his coat’s tail, adding to the magnificence of his striking presence. A pair of dark Aviators hid his eyes. Sheer arrogance poured off of him in waves as he strutted across the street.

When he disappeared into Josephine’s Cafe, the world returned to its normal pace and I caught my breath.

Fuck the pictures! This man was gorgeous. Even his swagger was a thing of beauty.

Before returning to my sniper scope, I blinked twice. “Focus, Monroe,” I whispered as I mentally reminded myself of the mission.

Eliminate the target.

His superciliousness alone justified him as being more than worthy of a visit from my bullet. But, as I watched him walk across the street with his standard large latte in hand, something about him intrigued me, and it wasn’t just his looks.

ROCK STAR LOVER, Live on Google Play #IRRomance #ASMSG #IARTG

ROCK STAR LOVER, NOW AVAILABLE AT GOOGLE PLAY

Superstar, Ripp Collins had the crowd spellbound, enthralled by his beauty and raspy, haunting voice as he belted out a verse. “When you look at me, tease my desire with a mere gaze, it shreds the edges of my soul…”

The indie rock band Devil’s Avenue was under the spotlight tonight, and they had the club packed to capacity.

The pulse of the bass drum and the cry of the electric guitar whipped through the building like a harsh, metallic rock n’ roll storm. The music’s roar mingled with the fans’ zealous screams. Multicolored lights flashed over the performers, adding to the dark and mysterious ambiance they created.

But Ripp… He glistened under the fluorescent beams, like a divine being. Flicking his fingers across the guitar strings, he rocked his hips to the beat, threw his head back, and let out one of his gritty primal cries.

The crowd went wild.

An unwanted smile dared to cross my face. I sat rooted to the barstool at the back of the club, refusing to let his bad boy allure draw me under his spell, like everyone else. But damn, I couldn’t take my eyes off of him, which meant, I was already enchanted. Now that I think about it, I’ve been spellbound for quite some time now.

Stay Ready

Staying low to the ground, Alexis crept into the hangar. She slipped into the nearest shadow and crouched against the wall.

The retractable ceiling was left open. Strange. There were no missions on record for the day. At least that’s what was reported on the log. So, why was the ceiling open? Several drones zipped by. They circled the field, lingering around the aircraft building.

Damn, this is gonna be harder than I expected.

She never backed down from a challenge before. So why start now? She flash-stepped across the massive space, going from one hovercraft to another, using them as cover. Hopefully, she moved fast enough to evade the drones’ radar. All she had to do was make it to the rear door. That would bring her closer to the canal, and closer the secrets within.

Almost there. I can do this. She took a deep breath and made a dash for the door.

Suddenly, the sharp shrill of a sword being drawn reached her senses. Alexis scanned her surroundings. The hangar seemed vacant, but that apparently wasn’t the case. She slowed her pace, but she kept moving. A threatening breeze rushed into her from the right. With it, a blade whistled through the air.

Reaching for her own sword, she ducked and swept her right leg out. Her foot caught the ankle of her unseen opponent.

A shadowy apparition emerged and flipped back away from her.

Alexis drew a trio of shuriken and launched them at the shadow. A series of silver streaks deflected the tiny blades.

Sword in hand, Alexis squared off. “If you wanted a battle, all you had to do was ask… Helena.”

Her adversary shed her ghostly form and stepped forth, wielding twin katanas. “You knew I would attack you?”

“The way you swoon over Tristan…” Alexis pushed her leather jacket from over her shoulders and let it fall to the ground. “Yeah, I knew it was only a matter of time before you made a go for me.”

Her preternatural eyes narrowed as her lips kicked up in a snarling sneer. “You don’t deserve him and I’m going to prove it.” Crossing her blades, she crouched in a battle stance. “I hope you’re ready, Moonlight. ‘Cause I’m not going to hold back.”

Smiling, Alexis held her weapon in a double grip. “Bitch, I stay ready.”

Alexis Moonlight Book 1

Mankind had once again thrust itself into a war built on hate, bigotry, and power. History repeated itself tenfold. Only this time, it was worse. Racism and prejudice escalated to an all-time high. More than half of the world’s population were what society labeled as Exoticals, which was just another way of saying bi-racial. Despite that, humans still found reasons to hate each other. If that wasn’t bad enough, they damn near destroyed the ozone layer, so much that there were certain sectors—dead zones—where the air was unbreathable. Creators of their own demise.

Yvonne Nicolas had the nerve to ask me if I was in love with Alexis Moonlight.

I hadn’t thought about it until she asked. I found myself stumbling on the notion. Me, in love with Moonlight? I can’t say it isn’t a possibility. To be honest, I’m not supposed to feel anything for her, given the fact that she’s my ward, more or less the core of my mission. I may be a superior knight who gets off on killing vampires, but I’m still human. That means every now and then I fall prey to my emotions.

Alexis is an extraordinary woman. She’s unruly, foul-mouthed, short-tempered and she never submits to anyone. I happen to find those characteristics attractive in a woman.

We’ve been lovers for… let’s see… three years, I think. When we jumped headfirst into our aggressive sexual relationship, we agreed it would be just sex. Nothing more. I tried hard not to get sucked in too deep with her, but after a while, something unexpected happened. I started to have feelings.

I remember the moment I found myself at a standoff with her. We’d had an argument earlier that day. It served as foreplay for me, but not so much for her. She was infuriated with me. In hindsight, she had good reason to be.

She wanted to leave the mission site and I wanted her to stay. As always when I’m around her, I let my emotions to get the best of me. I grabbed her in a not so gentle manner. She responded the only way she knew how to, with lethal force. I hadn’t drawn my weapon, but that didn’t stop her from shoving the barrel of her pistol into my stomach.

It was a snap move, one I hadn’t foreseen. It both pissed me off and aroused me at the same time. My cock was so hard, it hurt.

I knew there were eyes on us. The mission site was littered with knights. At the time, I didn’t know what to do. If I didn’t release her, she would shoot me. I knew that for sure because she was crazy like that. However, if I did let her go, that would be another stab at my ego. I didn’t mind giving her a little power over me, but a man of my caliber could only take so much.

Her friend, Cole, wedged his body between us and pushed us apart. He said something about having a problem for our solution. Or maybe it was the other way around. I don’t know.

My first thought was to tune him out and deal with her properly, but I couldn’t. Not when there were so many fellow knights watching us. I held onto her scowl, gifting her with my own narrow-eyed glower. I heard myself grumble, “Listening.”

“We can run a perimeter sweep,” Cole said.

I cut my eyes at him for a split second. “What?” Then I whipped them back on her furious face. Goddammit, she’s so beautiful when she’s enraged.

“Some of the hostiles are liable to get past this sector, like earlier. With me and Alex running the perimeter…”

I don’t remember what he said because the rest of his words faded out. All I could see was her. All I could hear was her. Her angry panting washed across my mind. It mingled with the memory of her breathy moans and sensual cries. My whole body hardened. Fuck! I wanted her, right then and there! I almost shoved Cole aside and made a go for her.

Cole’s voice came back in and rushed my erotic thoughts away. He glanced over his shoulder at Alexis. “Good idea? Right, Alex?”

Sneering at me, she clucked her tongue and turned her back to us. “I don’t care. I just don’t wanna be here.”

She huffed out a groan of frustration and stalked away. Her hips swayed with her demanding strut, making her armored tasset and shoulder cape flare. She not once cast those pretty eyes back at me.

That’s the thing. I always like to see her storm away, but I never like to let her go. “Stay on her,” I ordered Cole without taking my eyes off her sexy ass retreat.

He snorted then countered, “I always do.”

I pinned him with a wide glare only to get a teasing grin in return. I knew his comment was meant as an underhanded quip, but that shit rubbed me the wrong way. I didn’t care how gay he was, I didn’t like his relationship with Alexis. Not one bit. Teeth clenching, I growled, “Watch yourself, Officer Davis.”

Cole laughed and jogged after her. From the day he’d been appointed to train her, they’d been inseparable. Their friendship was instantaneous, which was unnerving to me. He didn’t show it much, but I knew he had a thing for her. Gay or straight, it was impossible for any man to be in her presence for an extended amount of time and not feel some kind of way about her.

Someone walked up behind me. “Oye, looks like you haven’t quite figured out how to keep that sassy-bit in line, Vice-Commander Sanjay Rahim.”

I had to take a deep calming breath before turning to face the owner of the annoying voice—JR. “Come again?” I would’ve responded with my fist, but striking the Chief Commander’s son would offer trouble I didn’t need. So, I kept my cool. For the time being.

A smug grin crossed his face. “She drew a pistol on you, in front of the other squads, and you did nothing. What kind of example does that set?” A chuckle carried his snobbish tone. “I told father you couldn’t handle her. Should’ve let Lopez spearhead that disobedient piece of ass.”

Heat rushed to my head and exploded behind my eyes. Despite my anger, I managed a smile. I wrapped my hand around the handle of my sword and nodded past him. “Better go catch up with your squad before you get left behind.”

“You’re falling for her, aren’t you?”

“They’re getting further and further away.” Squeezing the hilt, I stepped in closer. “Not good to get separated from your pack during a mission of this magnitude. Unfortunate things can happen.”

He backpedaled, seeming agitated. His bright green eyes danced then his smugness reappeared. He puffed his chest out and pulled his shoulders back as if to stand his ground.

I found it amusing that he thought he was untouchable. I had been dying to prove him wrong. Sure, he was bigger than me, but I was faster. I could’ve disembodied that fool in the blink of an eye and no one would’ve been the wiser.

“While you’re getting all cozy between her dark legs, remember she’s your mission,” he had dared to say. “Keep her in line or—”

I snatched my blade halfway from its casing, allowing him to see the silvery gleam.

Emerald eyes stretched wide, he leaped back and made a late grab for his sword. “I see you’ve misplaced your mind, Vice-Commander,” he gritted out. “You’re actually going to draw on me, while my father, your commanding officer is on site?”

“From this day forward, I suggest that you say nothing else to me. That is, if you’d like to keep your tongue.”

He took a few unsteady steps back, his face stained in shock. “You’re a madman.”

“Yes.” Slowly, I slid my blade back into its sheath. “That means I won’t be responsible for my actions if you don’t heed my warning.”

He blinked rapidly. He opened and closed his mouth like he wanted to say something. Then without another word, he turned and rushed off to join his squadron.

As I think back on that moment, I can’t help but smile. I did a lot of things out of my nature. You see, I’m the perfect knight in this Blood War. I always follow orders and I get the job done, no matter how many obstacles stand in my way, but that day I was ready to break protocol. That day, I wanted to kill that motherfucker from the bottom of my heart! But I restrained myself. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do that a second time.

So back to the question Yvonne asked me. Do I love Alexis Moonlight?

Hmm… It’s clear I will kill for her and I wouldn’t feel an ounce of guilt afterwards.

So, guess that means my answer is yes.

Humans are idiots!

For thousands of years, mankind was under the notion that they were at the top of the food chain. Strange happenings over time proved otherwise. But they couldn’t be convinced. The arrogance of it all. Or perhaps one should call it ignorance.

Mankind had once again thrust itself into a war built on hate, bigotry and power.

Again, idiots.

Mother Earth was deteriorating, due to mankind’s incompetence and lack of compassion to her needs. Healthcare went to hell with the economy. Gas prices soared and religious beliefs were demolished.

In the midst of all that, the wealthy society took over. The Blue Bloods. Money ruled the world. Guess there was nothing new there.

A new division was formed. Now, it was the Blue Bloods against the middle class and the poor. Classism. Right when the wealthy were on the verge of systematically exterminating the society they called commoners, it happened.

Year 2066, October seventeenth, everything changed.

Creatures only believed to exist in fantasy novels and horror movies crawled up from their graves and declared in one powerful roar that they were the supreme species.

The immortals.

For mankind, the end days were here!

The devil spawns rapidly multiplied, turning their victims into demons against their will. They spread around the globe like a plague. Humans died in droves. Blood and tears ran like rivers in the streets.

Mankind was forced to put their differences aside to survive. Such a shame that’s what it took. Maybe that was the idea. Maybe that’s why God had forsaken the human race. It was because they had forsaken him.

As a response to the threat, the United Nations formed the Cross Federation. Interesting name considering they were basically a league of Blue Bloods from different countries who detested religion. All that aside, they thought they knew what was best for the world, and since the world had no one else to turn to, the Cross Federation was their only hope.

Walls were built and technology was advanced in an effort to preserve the human race. Men and women were trained as knights and pumped with a drug that afforded them the special ability to annihilate the opposing force.

And thus, the Blood Wars began…
