I came across an image online that brought a story to me in a flash!
If you follow me on FB, you saw the post below.
Well, I wasn’t just typing it because it sounded good. The plot bunnies were definitely stirring and as a result of this gorgeous picture, I came up with a hella sexy tale.
You’ll be happy to know the plotting for this story is complete! I was so moved by this pic that I was able to get it done in a couple of hours. Now, all I have to do is flesh it out! That’s the fun part.
Thanks to all the readers and authors who encouraged me to write this story. I didn’t think I would have time, given my tight writing schedule, but this baby wants to be written, badly.
I was going to name the characters after the actors, Duke (Winston Duke), Dana (Danai Gurira) and Stanley (Sebastian Stan). I may still go with those names, but as alternates, I came up with Lester, Nyah and Ethan. I’m open to suggestions!
The sky bled into the horizon as the night chased the sun away. It bathed the lake in pretty colors. Reds, blues, oranges and yellows… As I watched them twist and shift with the breeze, I moved with them, ascending and descending, rising and falling. It was a heavenly journey, one that took me higher each time I rose.
“Look. Isn’t the sky beautiful?”
He responded with a grunt and a moan.
I smiled and took another slow puff from the magic stick. “We should do this again tomorrow.” I may not reach the plateau of mindless completion on this journey, but at least I had the psychedelic current riding with me.
Some days I find it hard to get into a steady writing groove. On days like these, I type out random flash fictions about nothing and everything. I usually don’t save them, but today I decided to share it with you. I hope you enjoyed it.
Chase is working on a confession for next week. He promised after Scorpion Tail finished their recording session this weekend, he’ll jump right on it.
He guarantees it’s gonna be hot!
I don’t know about you, but I believe him. 😉
I’ve received your PMs on twitter and Facebook. I’ve even received the ones from my website. Due to my busy writing schedule, I may not answer right away, but I SEE YOU, and most importantly, I HEAR YOU. Thank you for taking the time to either tell me how much you love my work and my dirty imagination, or fuss at me about the next installation to THE DRAGON QUEEN SERIES. *smile* I got you. I promise. I know Scattered Flames is a long time coming, but I have faith that you’ll love the end result. Thank you for your patience.
*hugs and kisses*

I learn something new about my characters every day!
MonaLisa, for instance, is very poetic with her dialogue. Maybe because she’s a songwriter. I don’t know. She says things that come out like lyrics. And I promise you, I’m not writing her like this on purpose! She whispers in my ear and her words make their way into a scene.
I read over something I wrote and be like, “when the hell did I write that?”
“Try as you will to shatter me. In the end, it would be you crumbling at my feet…”
“I refuse to let her drag you down. If you’re going to hell with anyone, its gonna be me.”
“How ironic is this? The snake has the nerve to call the scorpion venomous.”
With every scene she’s in, I’m falling more in love with her.
I hope you enjoy another snippet from my upcoming anthology release,
“Think about the first time you met me. Some dirty kid in ratty clothes, with no home, and needle marks riddled all up and down his arms… What did you think when you saw me? Were you ready to throw me to the sharks and say there’s no hope?”
I have another tease from my current WIP to share with you. It’s profound and dark. It is but a glimpse of the character, Becca, another member of the band, Scorpion Tail.
“At one point in my life, I stopped feeling. The buffet of drugs, fountains of liquor, and endless days and nights of mindless sex dulled my senses. I literally fucked myself into a state of numbness. After a while, my numerous partners all looked the same in my mind. Names ceased to matter. I was lost in a bottomless void, stuck in a nightmare disguised as a dream.” ~ Beckett “Becca” Gianni
