Remember this stunning image of Rayne, created by the amazing artist—Takeia Dunlop, who is now known as Takeia Marie? This image was drawn by Takeia, BUT colored by my awesome friend, Kyle “K-boogie” Chaney.
Impressed? His talent doesn’t stop here.
He created another version of Rayne from The Dragon Queen Series. This one literally blew my mind! And get this… he created it with color pencils.
This drawing was inspired by an image drawn by Paolo Pantalena.
This is Rayne in her full demonic form as the hybrid Dragon Queen.
As you can see, Kyle has an unbelievable talent, one that I’m sure I’ll continue to take advantage of. LOL!
Next week, I’ll post the progress photos, showing how he created this masterpiece, from beginning to finish.
I am all smiles today, thanks to the talented artist Charlie Goubile! He surprised me today with this stunning drawing of Havoc from the Dragon Queen Series. Havoc is one of the strongest vampire hunters in the series. To know that my characters inspire creativity in others… well, it touches my heart and turns me into a sobbing baby. 😀 He definitely made my day with this.
Today, I would like to showcase a drawing from my one of my favorite artists, who happens to be my good friend, Takeia Marie. This is a drawing of Rayne and Demetri from The Dragon Queen Series.
I have to say I absolutely love this drawing!
Takeia was already incredibly talented when I met her, but during the years I’ve known her, I have watched her skills grow at an amazing rate. In this drawing, she has managed to embody Demetri’s dark beauty and strength, as well as Rayne’s powerful curves, and hidden wickedness. This drawing also displays their unrelenting passion for each other, which screams from the pages of the book.
Teaser from the Dragon Queen Series
Demetri wrapped his arms around her, palmed a breast and swayed his hips to her sultry rhythm. As her rapid heartbeat set pace with his, her body stuttered against his joined sensual assault. His aching shaft pulsated intensely between her thighs. Harsh growls rumbled within his chest as her skillful fingers and fiery sex massaged him toward eruption.
The need to bite her grew unbearable, especially while she was baring her throat to him. He raked a fang across her jugular, caressing her mind with the images of him sinking his incisors deep into her flesh and thrusting his hardened cock into her hot wet pussy.
After Takeia completed this drawing, my boy, the color master, Kyle Chaneycame along and made a drawing that was already stunning even lovelier. I know. It’s difficult to look away from. I’ve been staring at it for the last 15 minutes. 😉 Fiyah!
Kyle and Takeia are wonderful souls and great inspirations in my life. I love them both dearly and I honestly can’t imagine my life without them. I would like to thank them both for sharing their talents with me! I look forward to working with them again on the Dragon Queen project.
I have a stellar sketch to share with you today! This wonderful piece was created by the very talented artist, Takeia Marie.
For those of you who have read The Dragon Queen Series, you know this sassy chick is Sharayna “Rayne” Piers, the all-powerful Dragon Queen. Takeia managed to expose Rayne’s saucy demeanor and hidden strength in this sketch.
Isn’t this beautiful?
This feeds my desire to see the Dragon Queen series as a graphic novel, or manga. 😉
Stay tuned! I have an absolutely wicked drawing of Maurisio Bithanos, also created by Takeia Marie, to share with you later. 😉
Bare your throat, my lovelies.
This dark fantasy series will suck your passions and leave you anxious for more.

I was supposed to write this post a week ago, but I’ve been recuperating from the amazing time I had at the DragonCon. You see, DragonCon to me and my family is like a trip to Disney for some people. The cosplay, the people, the pictures, the panels, the celebrities, the art, the fun, the fun… and THE FUN. Yes, we’re sci-fi and anime geeks, and proud of it. We’re already making plans for next year. I may be doing cosplay for DragonCon 2014. I found myself shopping for corsets the other day, so I think this is gonna really happen. I’ll keep you posted. 😉
Now one of the highlights of the DragonCon was seeing my friend, Tom Wood. If you’re a fantasy art fan and you don’t know who he is, you’re missing out.
As many of you know, I’m a lover of dragons, and Tom has the unique gift of bringing dragons to life in his art work. So yeah, I’m in love with this man. And when you see his art, you’ll see why.
I showcased this piece on my fan page last year around October and it received a lot of feedback from the male species, which I totally expected. *giggle* This is one of my favorites, Hot Zombie. It can also be purchased as a sculpture.
My pièce de résistance is the art piece titled “Unleashed”. The title alone has a lot of meaning to me. I will be purchasing both the art print and sculpture. Why I like it? It reminds me of the battle between Gandalf and Balrog. Yes, I know. Balrog was a giant fire demon, but in my demented mind, I replace all villains with dragons. *grin* Crazy, I know. That’s how much I love dragons.
Every now and then I run across exceptional individuals and when I do, I like to let everyone else know how exceptional they are.
My friend Matt Johnson, a freelance artist, shared a section of his latest work with me, and I’m compelled to share it with you.
Most of you already who have read my urban fantasy novels know that I’m a big fan of anime, or anything action-packed, with plenty of ass kicking. So when Matt dropped a few pages of Trash on my FB page, it got my attention. 😀
Now, for your viewing pleasure…
THRASH RISE OF SHIDOU
By Matt Johnson
Three Ebonai survivors of an ambush owe their lives to a masked man. However after revealing the masked man’s purpose, they find that their fates are intertwined.
Using the mystical power of Onmyodou, Empress Geimei has sought control over the 12 nations creating the Kingdom of Suikon. Empowered and favored by the gods themselves the kingdom continues to rise. However, a mysterious masked man attempts to overthrow the mighty nation.
When darkness falls, Vampire Huntress Joan “Havoc” Dawson and her team gears up and steps out to meet the evil as it threatens to spill onto the streets of mankind.
On the second anniversary of her sister’s death, Havoc finds herself lured into a rundown neighborhood by an unknown entity. She stumbles upon a dark secret, one that’s guaranteed to claim many innocent lives.
But in order to destroy the creature behind the madness, Havoc may have to surrender her soul to the darkness.
Havoc pushed her goggles on top of her head and froze. Her senses buzzed. A feeling… Something from the depths of the neighborhood called to her soul. It summoned her without uttering a single word.
A dark energy, an immensely powerful force, surrounded her in the form of a black fog.
She took a few faltering steps back. She shuddered when it followed her. This foreign energy tugged at her Hunter’s instincts, lapped at her spiritual powers like a thirsty animal. Overwhelming to her senses, yet, almost orgasmic to her womanhood, the sensation left her trembling, eager to answer the call. Her lids fluttered as she sucked in a shaky breath.
Clutching at the lapels of her trench coat, she attempted to shake the powerful ripples soaring up and down her spine. Her breathing became laborious, her heartbeat quickened. Sharp vibrations spiraled down to her fingertips. She curled her hands into fists and tried to suppress the involuntary release of her ability. It took a few seconds for the feeling to subside. However, the frantic pounding beneath her chest remained.
Only one creature was brave enough to call out a top level Andausian Hunter to do battle. No doubt, a master vampire was in the midst.
A chuckle rose behind her smirking lips as excitement stormed through her. “Aren’t we mighty bold tonight. Took you long enough.”
