New Short Story: Within the Shadows 🔥📖

As I’m diving into the next chapter of Fire & Magic, I wanted to share something special for Halloween lovers—a brand-new short story called Within the Shadows! It’s up and live for ALL Patreon members, ready for you to sink your teeth into! 

This dark fantasy tale comes straight from the Dragon Queen Series universe and spotlights one of my favorite badasses, Havoc. This started as a flash fiction, or more like a flash scene. But as I was writing the story, I realized it was going to spiral beyond 200 words. The characters wanted this scene fleshed out. Five thousand words later, and here we are with a mini-novella! 

My goal in this story was to feature Havoc from the eyes of a stranger. I engage in stories like this to find new sides of dynamic characters. Re-discovering her stoic yet surprisingly compassionate nature reminded me why she’s such a fierce force in this fantasy world. 

Heads up: it’s written in first person. I know that’s not for everyone, but I hope you’ll still enjoy the ride!
