Flash Fiction Friday #13 ~ Dead or Alive

Happy Super Bowl weekend! Whoohoo!!

It’s my favorite day of the week again! Let’s get to flashing.

I’ve written a flash fiction from the image below, which was chosen by one of my FFF comrades. Exactly 100 words, no more, no less.

Last Friday, one of my fellow flashers from the flash fiction crew wrote a 100 word tale in all dialogue, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually, I enjoyed it so much I thought I’d try my hand at it.

Thank you so much for inspiring me to try something new JP Archer.

So here we go…

Flash Fiction Friday #13 ~ Dead or Alive

“Wait. Can I… Will it hurt?”

“You insist on dragging this out.”

“Dude, I’m scared.”

“Grow a pair, will ya.”

“You didn’t answer my question.”

“Yes, Drew! Yes, it’s gonna hurt like shit. Now tilt your head.”

“Dude, waaaiiittt! Is this the only way? I mean, I know how to keep my mouth shut.”

“Humans always say that. The only way to ensure your silence is to make you one of us. Now enough chatting.”

“One more time, how does this work?”

“I’ll kill you, then bring you back to life as a shifter.”

“Can I call my mama first?”

  1. Well, at least he picked a scenic spot to rip out his friend’s throat. I doubt that he’d have cell reception out there to make a call anyway. Very well done Ms. Yvonne, I love the shifter twist.

  2. Excellent post Yvonne! You did very well with it. And I thank you much for the mention. That was good. I was wondering from the very first like where the story was headed but you very cleverly kept the ending at bay. And gave a nice nudge of humor too. Great job!

  3. Poor guy. Looks like he got in over his head and is now having to pay the price. Hopefully he gets to call his mama.
