“I watched you and Master during your sparring session today…” Jinn said as if he didn’t just violate her thoughts.
Havoc palmed her temple. “It doesn’t count as sparring if all he was doing was kicking my ass.”
“…and a thought came to me. You’re going to love this.”
“I just know whateva you’re about to say is gonna irritate my soul. So, do us both a favor and don’t.”
“You should switch places with me,” he continued.
“What?”
“Take my place in his bed tonight.”
With the flick of her wrist, Havoc launched the scabbard at him.
Jinn slapped it aside, sending it flying across the room into a bookcase. Then he spun to the left, like he was twirling in a ballet, and caught the thrust of the sword with his claw-like nails. A devilish smile tugged at his lips. “You know you want to.”
