Huffing out an airy chuckle, Ronan tilted his head. “How much does she mean to you?”
“She means everything,” Dante replied without hesitation. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t be taking this much of a risk to get to her, now would I?”
“Ah, so you admit this shit is reckless,” Alessio interjected, pinning Dante with a feline glare.
“The things your priestess said…” Ronan continued, his tone sharpening. “Is Joan truly your Luna, or just a project?”
Rolling his eyes, Dante shook his head. “Are we doing this again? Putting my personal affairs above the issue at hand?”
“I want to hear you say it before we move forward.”
“Ronan, this isn’t the time nor the place for—”
“Just answer the fucking question…” His smirk manifested into a full-on grin. “You little trouble-making runt.”
Dante’s gaze darted between his siblings as a sense of anxiousness settled in his gut. With a frustrated groan, he brushed his unruly hair back from his face.
“Oh you gotta be shitting me.” Alessio stepped in front of Dante, his eyes wide, and his fangs extended. “You were going off on some wild shit earlier. I know how you are with your projects and weird obsessions, so I let it go. But this…it’s sounding kinda serious. A little project that you fuck every now and then—that’s all she is, yeah? Say it.”
Dante held the twin’s glower. “If that’s what you think, then you clearly haven’t been paying attention, brother.”
